don't buy it - 05/02/2011 Overall Rating:1 out of 5 Reviewer:exerciser6 from baltimore, md Product:Multisports Ultimate 2200 Programmable Stepper
We have had a very bad experience with this equipment the load level is not working at all. The load 7 and 1 are the same. I have asked for the replacement for more than 1 month now, all of kind of excuses, it is still in my basement. Don't spend $1000 for a junk. The manufacture could not tell it is defict or not. It is so hard to get the repalcement or refund from the manufacture.
Ultimate Stair Stepper - 02/05/2008 Overall Rating:5 out of 5 Reviewer:Laura from Midland, TX Product:Multisports Ultimate 2200 Programmable Stepper
I have been looking for a stair stepper for a few months. I had a gym membership for over a year and the exercise equipment was all that I really used there. Steppers are incredibly difficult to find now. Most companies are leaning towards elliptical machines, stationary bikes, and treadmills. I have found that I can get a much better workout in half the time on a stair stepper. When I did find stair steppers, they were running about $2000. This same Multisports Ultimate Programmable Stair Stepper was running $1200 to $1400 on a few other websites. I could not find any reviews of this stepper, but it was described as quiet, programmable, and light commercial. I need something that is fairly resistant because I have already burned up one Proform Elliptical and lost a 'card' that was needed to work my previous Weslo Stepper (that is no longer made), so I thought I would take a chance on a stair stepper that was desribed as 'light commercial'.
I am so glad that I did! This stepper has a solid, steel frame, it is incredibly sturdy, quiet and has the independent leg action that is difficult to find but will give the best workout. It was EASY, EASY to assemble. There were about 8 parts that took me about thirty minutes to put together. The most difficult part was getting the wires that monitor the heart rate on the siderails into the top of the frame (up at the monitor). That was the only two-person needed part of the assembly. It arrived within three days of ordering on Central Freight. Unbelievable! The progammable LCD monitor was a little difficult to use initially because the instructions were not very clear, but I have since figured out how to select the correct program. I do miss the fact that it does not track miles, but it does provide a count. It runs on an adaptor that I would be able to replace easily if needed. And it does not take up too much room.
I would suggest this Stair Stepper to anyone who is needing to take their workouts to the next level. I had been using a Stairmaster 4000pt at the gym (no longer made, it is now comparable to the 4400pt). The Multisports Ultimate Programmable Stair Stepper has the same 'fat burner' program that when I set it for the same amounts of time, burns the same amounts of calories each time and seems to provide the same workouts.
