Sesamin is a lignin that activates the Peroxisome Proliferator Activator Receptor Alpha (PPAR alpha). There are three different PPAR classes. The first class is Alpha. The Alpha class is expressed in the heart, muscles, kidneys, adipose tissue, and in other areas.
