How Did You Get Started?
Getting fit was something that was a dream for me. I experienced being the “Chubby One” all throughout my adolescence. When I went off to college, after gaining the freshman fifteen, I decided that I had to get active. I began by going to them gym a few times a week and controlling my portions. I got down to my lowest weight at the time of 145. Then I allowed my weight to creep back up to 164 over the years. I became dedicated to fitness after watching my husband transform himself with proper diet and exercise through a program called Simple Fitness. I then jumped on the band wagon and haven’t looked back since. I picked up proper diet, portion control, and exercise and supplementing information.
What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?
I train 6 days a week when I’m getting ready for a photo shoot and 5 days a week in the off season. I usually use HIIT 2-3 times a week no matter what my goal is. HIIT helps me to keep my body fat levels low even in the off season. I also train 2 body parts per workout.
What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?
I watch what I eat all year and try to make sure that I never get over 15lbs from my stage weight. I try to stick to the basic math for weight loss when it comes to my preparation diet. 5 carb deplete days and 2 carb refeed days. My foods generally stay the same. I only change the amounts that consume.
What Motivates You To Follow A Healthy Lifestyle?
I enjoy being healthy and feeling good! I spent a large number of years battling with my weight and eating whatever I could get my hands on. But pursing healthiness I’ve found has a much greater reward! I want to live a long time and enjoy as much life as possible, following a healthy lifestyle will help me with this goal.
What Are Your Future Plans?
I am really working towards building more muscle mass and becoming a first place NPC Figure competitor. I also look forward to taking larger strides in the the business of health and nutrition, through fitness modeling , consulting, and counseling.
