Just about every body builder knows the importance of taking
protein. However, most don't know why. Many just assume that
protein builds muscle. What is often overlooked though is
the importance of taking amino acids. Amino acids are the
building blocks of protein and more importantly, muscle tissues.
| There are twenty-two different amino acids
that make up protein. They can be broken down into two
groups: the essential and non-essential amino acids. There
are eight essential amino acids that are supplied via
foods. The other twelve are made inside the body by synthesizing
other amino acids. The body will produce 50,000 proteins
and over 15,000 enzymes through the assimilation of amino
acids. They play a key role in normalizing moods, aggression,
sleep and the sex drive. |
It is important to keep supplying your body with amino
acids since the body is constantly using them to maintain
critical functions like your respiratory and circulatory
systems.
An amino acid supplement can also help people with deficiencies.
The people who are at highest risk for this are vegetarians,
people with allergies or stress related fatigue, and hypoglycemics.
The main symptom of an amino acid deficiency is trouble
digesting food. This is because of a decrease in the production
of digestive enzymes.
If you have a deficiency its important to take a supplement
because you can get caught in a bad cycle. You need amino
acids to make digestive enzymes and you need digestive
enzymes to get amino acids out of food. So if you aren't

them will just keep spiraling downward. That is why this
supplement is so important. |
For Body Builders
Right after you finish exercising, the blood flow to your
muscles is high. Its during this time frame that you can aid
muscle growth with amino acids. The problem is that eating
a meal with a lot of protein will take a long time to digest
and send amino acids to the areas of your body where they're
needed. There are two things you can do.
The first option is to eat a meal high in amino acids and
protein several hours before working out. Some people may
prefer this because it's all natural. However this option
is not always available if for example you work out in the
mornings. Also, depending on your level of exercise, this
may not be enough.
A supplement will deliver amino acids to your muscles during
the time when they are most receptive to them. Supplements
are the most efficient way to rush these acids to you when
you need them.
The recommended dosage is one and a half grams of powder three
times daily. This should be enough amino acids to assist in
food digestion and bulking up.
